Eric Thomas, Ph.D., is a world-renowned speaker, author, pastor, and educator. ET, as he is better known, has captured the hearts and minds across the globe with his dynamic communication style, high-energy messages, and New York Times Best Selling book, You Owe You.

With over 20 years of real-life, in-the-trenches community activism and education experience, Eric is living proof of what tenacity, drive, and focus can produce when appropriately applied, especially in the classroom. After taking 12 years to get a 4-year degree, ET earned a Master's and Ph.D. in Education Administration from Michigan State University.

Eric's long-standing success began with his award-nominated GED program and youth-focused nonprofit, "Break The Cycle, I Dare You." Building on the success of these initiatives, Eric developed Michigan State University's Advantage program, which helps improve the study habits and retention rates of high-risk college students.

With the development of The Playbook Program, ET continues to change students’ lives in the K-12 space, focusing on literacy and leadership that creates real, sustainable change.

Through the Youth Exposure Program, we offer qualified Playbook students an opportunity to attend a life-changing experiential learning trip. Past trips include the 2022 & 2023 Super Bowls and an international trip abroad to Dubai!
